Holy Jeezits, what an outstanding weekend! On Friday, we knocked off early, rounded up the wife and in-laws, bought a bag of tacos, and headed to Richmond Beach in Shoreline. The picnic tables were warm, the tacos messy and delicious. We watched people play or take naps. We watched a pale, red-headed girl turn lobster red while playing Frisbee with her negligent mother. Saturday, we drove out to Snoqualmie Falls. We'd never been there, so......

This Seattlest had some family visiting this weekend and felt it was his duty to show them some of his favorite beer spots in town, even if they could probably care less. There were quite a few beers of note that were on tap and should still be around. We also found a few bottles of Lost Abbey Judgement Day at Esquin Wine this weekend. We didn't realize the Seattle market was getting this......

It's so easy to keep going to the same places in Seattle over and over again. With the abundance of great places to grab a pint that we can get to from a bus ride and a quick walk, it's tough to hop in a car and go anywhere for a drink. But it is always great fun heading out to the breweries away from town to see what is going on. Snoqualmie Falls......

With the nice weather this morning, we were inspired to continue our profiles of summer beers. None of these are overwhelming in the taste category, but a summer beer does not have to be. Alaskan IPA and Alaskan Summer Ale - Alaskan makes some quality brews (God bless their Smoked Porter), and we have really come to enjoy these 2 light drinking beers. Their Summer Ale is a light German style Kolsch beer that is......

If you are looking for a road trip this weekend, you should think about checking out Bellingham on Saturday. April Brews Day is a benefit being held at Depot Market Square in Bellingham. They will have at least 11 confirmed breweries attending to sling their tasty beers. Featured Breweries: Diamond Knot: This brewery from Mukilteo always has brews worth checking out. Their IPAs are definitely worth trying, especially if they happen to have their XXX......

Are you a hophead? If you are, get your butt up to Cooper's Alehouse on Lake City Way on the north side of the city. Their 5th Annual IPA Festival is currently in full swing. They have some very tasty beers on tap and more on the way. Cooper's is a very relaxed place. With lots of great beers, plenty of TVs (with sports on them!!!) and $2.75 pint specials all night on Thursdays,......
