<em>P-I</em> Extends Job Offers For Online-Only Edition


Oh, snap! According to...well, the P-I...the P-I could be going online-only--a lucky few on staff have even received new "provisional" job offers.

Our glamorous older sister LAist did an interview with local tech CEO Mike Davidson last week that's mostly about how Newsvine is cool and getting cooler (and how you can get in on it), but the interviewer does manage to steer him over to the topic of the general tech scene here in Seattle.

Like us, you probably have no idea what a labor temple is, but it sounds kind of Karl Marx/Mad Max cool.

Davos may be home to the World Economic Forum, cofounded by northwest businessman Bill Gates, but Seattle knows where the new economy is going (because we read Wired). Seattle is hosting the Business Blog Summit. The annual Swiss event may have a blog, but Bill Gates does not. The new economy wants new media. Blog + Bidness = Bling.
