Oh, the kids sure do love their internets. Especially the social networking sites, which are completely youth-driven. With MySpace being the 4th most-visited site in America and the 7th most-visited site in the world, somebody's gotta capitalize on this movement. Somebody besides all the shitty bands who send you random friend requests. Somebody like Train of Thought.
Seattlest has mentioned this comedy troupe before, when we saw their love-obsessed sketch show right around Valentine's Day. They're funny boys. And they're back with Puppet Tom, a MySpace-themed series of video blogs by the puppet version of the site's co-founder Tom Anderson. The vlogs (as the kids say) are available at Puppet Tom's profile and YouTube. So far, our favorite of the bunch is #2, in which there is a cameo by some hot chicks. These vlogs have garnered Train of Thought some high praise, as well as (at last count) 277 new "friends"---including several MySpace employees. I guess tech guys can take a joke after all. Except for Bill Gates.
While you're surfing around MySpace, take a gander at the troupe's other puppet profile: Dr. Julius Marx, Professional MySpace Sexologist.
