Seattlest Exclusive: Space Needle Goes North of the Border

Canadas.jpg

We haven't been up to BC for a while now. It looks like we're not going to get to Whistler this season and we just haven't had the chance to kick it in Vancouver lately so you'll forgive us for being unaware that the Space Needle had been gifted to the Canadians. This photograph makes it clear that up to three of the structures depicted in our logo no longer belong to Seattle, though. Our team of graphic artists are busy filling in the holes left by the departures.

The picture is a photo taken in NYC's Chinatown and sent to us by tipster Katie who says, "As a former elevator operator in the Space Needle, I was shocked to learn of its relocation!" Thanks Katie!

Have you considered the possibility that the entire sovereign nation of Canada has in fact been gifted to the City of Seattle, which was of course so grateful that we renamed ourselves in their honor?

At least I'd like to think of that as a viable possibility...

Wow, awesome point, C, but isn't it more likely that Cascadia has been annexed by Canada unbeknowst to us?

If that were the so, my pockets would be jingling with Loonies, eh?

*ching, ching"

Huh.

I'm goin' to Loblaws for smokes and Molsons...

I think I feel a headache coming on... I'm going out for some over-the-counter codine
