New York Idiocy Invades Seattle

Seattlest received a tip from our only contact in the bicycle enthusiast hobo underworld (a sub-species also referred to by anthropoligists with the more politically correct term "Urban Primitive") that New York's Idiotarod - an urban parody of the Alaskan dog sled race whereby shopping carts are used as the vehicle of choice - will come to Seattle this weekend in the form of The Seattle Idiotarod. The Village Voice covered the recent New York session and the situation the idiots enjoyed with the local police.

Aside from coming up with a team of willing idiots, the added challenge for the interested party will include finding a viable shopping cart. Seattlest recommends taking this Broadway Kid Battle Craft we saw a few weeks ago chained to a pole across the street from the Seattle Police Dept at Pine and 12th. We also saw it a week earlier at Pike and 11th so it evidently doesnt stray too far from Broadway Kid territory and should be relatively easy to find. If you use this as your vehicle, be sure to leave it out on the Hill when you're done with it so the Broadway Kids will be able to make use of it the next time they battle the Man to score another point for Anarchy.
